Funding senior care puts Minnesota families first.
The Reality We Face
Minnesota is seeing its senior population boom. Our state is not prepared to accommodate the increased demand for senior care services that is resulting from this. Without significant investment in Minnesota’s long-term care workforce and infrastructure, care will become less accessible and affordable for seniors in need of care.
Our Agenda for Care
It’s going to take all Minnesotans — family members, neighbors, legislators and friends — to ensure a high quality of life for our state’s growing senior population.
However, lawmakers hold unique influence over the strength of Minnesota’s long-term care system due to their ability to financially support facilities and those seeking care.
Behind every policy and funding request to state leaders are the lives and stories of real Minnesotans — our seniors, family members, and caregivers who are directly impacted by legislative decision-making.
These are some of the seniors, family members, and staff who are directly impacted by legislative change and support.
Our Stories
Two organizations. One mission.
The Long-Term Care Imperative (LTCI) is a partnership of Minnesota's two senior care provider associations:
Care Providers of Minnesota and LeadingAge Minnesota.
LTCI members employ 80,000 professional caregivers in Minnesota, meeting the needs of seniors in all the places seniors call home – including short-term care, assisted living, memory care and skilled nursing homes.
